| In order to attach new rubbers on an already made-up bat, first the old rubbers have to be carefully removed in the opposite direction to the fibre structure of the blade. Then completely remove all glue remnants and visually check it again. Pay attention to any unevenness of the blade. If there is any damage please contact an authorised JOOLA dealer. When using JOOLA X-Glue spread a thin layer on one side of the rubber (sponge) using our special sponge roller as follows: Step 1
Thereafter do the same on the side of the blade on which the rubber is to be glued. Step 3
Step 4
Wait until glue is dry (glue will be transparent, check by touching, approx. 4 -5 minutes).
Make sure that there are no air bubbles on the surface of the rubber. Turn around the glued side and place it on a cutting board.
Now glue the second side of your bat in exactly the same way. Finally put edging tape on your bat. This will absorb light shocks and thus protects your bat. Attention: When regularly changing rubbers we recommend to seal the blade with our JOOLA blade varnish (on water basis). |
