In order to attach new rubbers on an already made-up bat, first the old rubbers have to be carefully removed in the opposite direction to the fibre structure of the blade. Then completely remove all glue remnants and visually check it again. Pay attention to any unevenness of the blade. If there is any damage please contact an authorised JOOLA dealer.

When using JOOLA X-Glue spread a thin layer on one side of the rubber (sponge) using our special sponge roller as follows:

Step 1

Pour the glue on the sponge of the rubber with the bottle (take off cap).

Step 2

Evenly spread the glue with the sponge roller.

Thereafter do the same on the side of the blade on which the rubber is to be glued.

Step 3

Pour the glue on the blade with the bottle. Use less glue than on the sponge.

Step 4

Evenly spread the glue with the sponge roller.

Wait until glue is dry (glue will be transparent, check by touching, approx. 4 -5 minutes).

When using JOOLA Aqua glue spread a thin layer of the high-quality glue (see step 1 & 2) only on the sponge. Also wait until glue is dry (approx. 6 – 8 minutes).

Place the blade with the side to be glued up on an even base.

Place the rubber with the glued side down at the end of the handle. The branding line has to be in the middle. Now carefully roll the rubber from the „bottom“ to the „top“ without pressure by means of a rolling pin.

Make sure that there are no air bubbles on the surface of the rubber.

Turn around the glued side and place it on a cutting board.

Press on the middle of the blade in order to fix it on the base and then carefully cut off excess rubber. Use a sharp knife (carpet knife, Stanley knife, etc.).

Now glue the second side of your bat in exactly the same way.

Finally put edging tape on your bat. This will absorb light shocks and thus protects your bat.

Attention: When regularly changing rubbers we recommend to seal the blade with our JOOLA blade varnish (on water basis).
